Time management

http://blaugh.com/2006/08/29/managing-time-management/
Indeed I can see the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. It took everything within me to make it this far. Why? because time management has always been my nemesis. This time I put aside everything and I pushed to the finish. My goal was to understand how to use this new technology to enhance the teaching and learning of reading. In the process of trying to balance this ICT course and my daily life I decided to incorporate some time management techniques and what do you know I came upon the BEST time management site ever created.
  • Time Management,
  • Thinking,
  • Reading,
  • Online learning
are a few of this site's topics. Its value ranges from assistance with 'learning to learn' to formulating time schedules for a research project. Remarkably, I was rudely awakened from my intense concentration on integrating technology in the teaching and learning process in the classroom when I tried their exercise in time management. I discovered that I used more than24 hours in one day. In this world of information explosion we must balance our lives and assist our students to balance theirs. Go to the site you will discover a world of life controlling strategies for you and your students - http://www.studygs.net/timman.htm

  1. Hi Kathine,
Firstly accept my sympathy on your loss of Snow. I read your Memoir and it has inspired me. Because of the compactness of the course we could not read many of the exciting and informative blogs of our colleagues.

I wish that they could be placed on a site which we could access at any time. I think it would be such a waste of time and resources not to be able to read the other blogs as I know that they will contain information on websites that could assist us on our quest of becomming Reading Specialists.

Thank you for sharing websites with us. I also enjoyed the entry about the woman who saved the patient and then hung him out to dry. It certainly makes you think. I also took down the information on % of what we read , hear see, etc.

All the best as you continue on the quest of becoming a Reading Specialist.

  2. Hi 21stcenturyreadingspeacialist

Thank you for your kind words. Your reflection post also brought a smile to my face, it was just comforting to know that we are there for one another. Your post on sharing technology with your department reinforced my zeal to motivate my colleagues to use the technology when school reopens. I could go on and on outlining all the data I was able to glean from your blog and those of our cohort.
I am one who would really like us to continue this interaction long after the ICT course finishes. There is soooo much information for us to utilize in our classrooms and by extension our lives.
